    Bucket pin fitting issue

I think there are two separate issues here and they are being rolled into one. One is how the problem was solved which I will stand by if the machine owner knew what was being done and pleased the person doing the repair is clear. Regardless if there are better long term solution unless the...

    Road Maintenance

There is also a major issue to consider by anyone doing a road, liability. There is a small dirt road that is an easement across our land. No idea how many years old it is but it is the only access for the three who own land behind us. Two of those are farm land so decent road is not an issue...

    Front Tire Wear

I would think you could just swap the tires from left to right as aren't both rims the same? That would reverse the tires very easy and cheap.

    Bucket pin fitting issue

I have never owned a shop of any kind, but I know you do the work for the person who hired you and is paying you. Now, the shop does owe whoever is hiring and paying him the issue or problem and options, but it is up to whoever is doing the hiring and paying to make that decision. Past there...

Boy has this been a Major project !!

Along with the above, some I don't know what they are: coffee will absorb some orders, Free Breeze can handle some. I do think open room temp is easier to get the order controlled in than running refrigerator. Of course, you could get spray with diesel fuel and then deal with it...I believe it...

    Road Maintenance

That is a long 1.1 miles! Why a person with equipment would not help? Can be many reasons but to me what looks fair is each person to pay the proper amount to pay even if a neighbor for keeping the road up and not a happen chance system as it sounds you have now. I think it would be good for...

What is the most important things to look for when buying a tractor?

I am not trying to start a brand basing here. Regardless the brand there are those who like it and believe it is the best. I have owned Case, Kubota, Kubota, JD and Kubota. I used a Ford a lot that in laws owned. Each one would probably buy again, only one ever had real issue with was my first...

    Bucket pin fitting issue

Are you saying the bushing hole size was not correct? As to the magnetic drill, just wondering did you see about renting one or did you want one. They sure can be handy. Glad you got it fixed.

Tie Down Straps with loops for tractor

I will admit the dozier to me is little over the load limit of the trailer. Well, maybe a lot. How much does that dozier weigh? I do doubt it would slide out due to braking. A few years ago, I drove by a trailer with piece of heavy equipment on it, laying on it's side. They had it chain...

Tie Down Straps with loops for tractor

Some very interesting thoughts shared here. I hauled my Kubota L606 with cab yesterday now a great load and used 3/8 gold chain on rear and 5/16 chain on front with the threaded binders. What a lot of work but it was bound. Hauled it to Kubota dealer for a failed fuel gauge. Ask them what they...

Tie Down Straps with loops for tractor

Thank each of you for your info. WM75guy, that company looks to have what I am looking for. Not a professional CDL person but if straps are not DOT legal here...well DOT must not be working. See them on all kinds of loads, hay for certain, concrete drainage tile, all kinds of building...

Tie Down Straps with loops for tractor

I have yet to find short tie down straps suitable for a tractor or such weight wise. Largest capacity is about 3,500 lbs. I want to use straps much like you do with a side by side or atv for hauling with chain and binder. I also am only finding them about 18" long which I think is shorter than...

    Bucket pin fitting issue

Have you tried running the pin through the bucket only to see if those bushings line up? You may find it lines up better coming from one side over the other side. I have a bucket that way.

Choosing between used JD 4720 and 5075

I think mo1 did a good comparison. I owned a 5525M I think. Believe the R is the top model and mine was not. But a top-notch tractor. Had the power reverse and with front end loader worked very well. Sold it when I quit farming and looked heavy as the 4000 series JD. Don't forget the higher...

City kids do not leave keys in vehicles. . . It’s different out here...

I grew up about 7 miles from where I now live. That was the 50 and 60's. Keys stayed in the ignition and house was not locked. Hey, no key lock on our house till my Dad passed in Jan 1970. Today my keys are in my pocket or the house, doors locked and often even cab tractor is, you see too many...

What is the most important things to look for when buying a tractor?

My first and best recommendation is: TAKE YOUR TIME. Don't fall in love or must have this unit attitude. It is a tool and not a life. I am always amazed how I can look at a tractor, equipment and go back and look again shocked to see how much I missed in designed or such. I agree with all above...

    Flail Mowers

I have had three flail mowers. First was bought to use behind a B2710 Kubota and it handled it fine. No idea the brand but was sold by Agri Supply. I took it back after one use for it had the "Y" blades on it and was bought to mow lawn and it looked terrible. It was few years before I bought my...

Taking delivery of new JD / Canceled Kubota Order

The shortages has to make one wonder where the cause is. I think it points to one country but that is my thoughts. The shortage of roll steel causing the shortage of FEL for Kubota, I would think that would only be used for the buckets. Am I wrong? If that is so then let the customer decide...
