    Ram 1500 EcoDiesel

Well, we put about 120,000 mostly trouble free miles on the truck. Had a few little issues, nothing major. Mileage was excellent. Did have the truck *upgraded with the new emission software a few years ago. Didn’t notice much change, got about $3k back from FCA. We towed light to medium loads in...

    Ram 1500 EcoDiesel

That’s subjective. We drive it like a truck in a rural community. Never had any trouble with the DPF or DEF. DPF and DEF have now been around for about a decade or so. Not a new technology anymore.

    Ram 1500 EcoDiesel

Almost 6 years and over 100k trouble free miles. I did have to get the AC repaired due to an evap coil leak. No engine or transmission trouble. Pulls light to medium loads great, and the brakes are original.

    Amazon created a concrete shortage

Buc-ees was started here in my hometown. You’re going to love it, and then hate it because it’s too damn easy to spend a lot of money. They pay top wages for their people and have high expectations of them.

SE Texas 2016-2017 The Year Without Winter

This has been about the warmest winter I can ever recall. We have had weeks on end of 70-80*f weather and very few days that stay in the 40-s and 50's. While it hasn't been unusual for us to have warm days in this part of Texas ( Houston area) it's been extremely warm almost all year. We did...

    Ram 1500 EcoDiesel

This truck has been on my radar for awhile. Looks like I may try to order one. Anybody hear that Ram is having trouble with the EPA certifying diesel engines for 2017? Word is that you cannot get a 2017 ED 1500 Ram. I'm looking to custom order one because I cannot find one rigged out the way...

Question about rear axle ratio and transmissions

I found a really good deal on a ram 4x4. This is a 4x4 5.7l lone star package. It even has the brake controller. Like most ram trucks it has the 3.21 gear ratio. My old F150 had the 3.55. It was rated to tow 10,600 from what I recall. From what I can tell the ram is rated for 8500 which is...

    Ford F150-I'm Done.

Time to trade this POS off. Electric steering bad at 65K miles, several brake jobs, evap coil in the A/C out, seat torn at 50K, and now the brakes are locked up. Biggest pile of junk I ever owned. Loved the truck until it hit 50K miles and then it started falling apart. No more Ford for me...
