I forgot to mention that I'm using a Perkins diesel with a monstrous Eaton hydraulic pump. It came out of a boring machine used for burying fiber.

If you're going with 4 inch pipe, just use a reducer at the end. This will force everything to compress pretty good, and it might eliminate the need for an end plate. Tim
