    Powering riding mower

Okay, so the engine on my Cub Cadet 1554 seized, and I'm wondering if I can use a horizontal shaft engine powering a pump, with a hydraulic motor powering the rear hydrostatic axle. It won't have the mowing deck on it. My wife will only be using it with a small garden cart to haul some tools...

    Articulated tractor build questions

I forgot to mention that I'm using a Perkins diesel with a monstrous Eaton hydraulic pump. It came out of a boring machine used for burying fiber.

    drilling a hole 12inches deep???

If you're interested, I have a spare 1-7/8" drill you can have. The flutes are right at 6" long, so you could get the majority of your hole drilled, then use your boring bar. Not sure of the taper, but you could possibly turn it to fit your tailstock... Feel free to PM your address, and...

    Inherited shop...dismantling forklifts

I recently inherited a metalworking shop, and am in the process of cleaning the place up. There is an older 4000# Clark forklift that runs, sort of. I'm thinking of tearing it down and keeping most of the hydraulic stuff, and scrapping the rest. There's also an electric lift with no...
