I am recommend the 2500T 100%. After having it for a few months now, I have really ran it through the paces. it really is impressive. Battery life is a product of what you're cutting and how sharp your chain is. I am going to convert to the smaller chain once the one it came with is done...

I have really been considering it. I think someone talked me out of the clone saws due to my lack of tuning knowledge, which is ok. If or when I jump into it, I think I will go with a good, used 395. I am waiting on a guy and his wife to tell me they want a big oak milled. Their payment...

Thank you. Its going on the bench for a rainy day project.

Thank you. I have a feeling its going to end up being a wall hanger for me. More nostalgia because it was the first saw I learned on. This one I am going to try and get running right. It was my other grandfathers. it will fire and run but won't stay running unless you're on the throttle...

This was my grandfathers. He bought it new at Ekert Brothers in Sugarcreek many years ago. Dad has it now and tries to use it on occasion. He has had it to a shop several times but they can't seem to get it right. I mostly think they just don't want to screw with it so they don't put much...

Very similar set up to me now except my little saw is battery. As I have stated before, I love my 562.

I saw a guy on youtube that bought this kit and he was impressed. Its on my list to purchase especially when I start using the saw further from home. The more power I can stretch the better. If its a saw you are looking into for your wife to use, I say go for it. It was initially my plan to...

Mine came with a 3/8LP oregon chain. Looks like it can be bought with a 1/4 option but not what mine was on ebay. Sawsupplier.com sells a nano .325 conversion kit that I am considering...

From what Echo claims it is a bit heavier. I have used an older echo gas top handle and a stihl top handle gas. I personally just didn't think the 2500T felt heavy in any way. Very easy to use with one hand. Maybe its just the ergonomics and the balance of the saw. In a week, I've used it...

Yes I Yes I will have to get my hands on a scale. I can tell you this, it is very light and well balanced and I have no problem using it with one hand even extended. The listing on it is claimed 7.3 pounds with the battery and oil full.

If you want a light, easy to use top handle battery saw, get the Echo 2500T. Just got mine and I can use it easily with one hand. Light and very well balanced. Got mine on ebay. I have other echo battery tools and I am very pleased.

The reviews on all greenworks battery products are pretty good. From wha the local battery shop told me, greenworks makes good batteries and they can be repaired. The same manufacturing they use for batteries is the same echo uses. One of the reasons I went with echo.

So say I go the clone route. As I have stated, I am not a saw mechanic but that difference in price is so tempting. So many people on forums, like you xyz, speak highly of them. What would a novice saw guy need to know about a 395 clone to not ruin it? And what about a 390 as a milling saw?

Probably a little far for me at this time. Hoping to get more serious this summer. Is in the 4-500 range where I can expect to find a 395? I know used is used, but is a saw in that price range GENERALLY still going to be a pretty good saw? Are they "bulletproof?"

I am liking prices I see on 395s. Might be worth looking into and just teaching myself how to work on saws. I have a Stihl 029 and a Husky 45 in the garage that were given to me. Maybe I can use them to learn on.

Are the 660 and 395 going to be more reasonably priced that the other 2?

    Just another junk chainsaw

Other then a good used 660, what other saw would you recommend for me to do some milling with? Not totally agains't the Chinese saws but would prefer a good used stihl, husky, echo, etc. I wouldn't ever run anything over a 36" bar. I welded up mill on a 20" bar for my 562 just for a few small...

I I have the latest version. You won't regret it for $25. I wrap orange tape on the handle so I can see it in the woods.

As I stated before I am toying with milling. Would love a good used 660. I am in Ohio also but only know of marketplace or ebay to search for used saws. Where else could I be looking?

Well now I want one, not that I have any issue with my 562. Have been extremely happy with it (other than the occasional hot start issue). Unfortunatly I am more in the market for a milling saw and have different needs.

I know its just like any thing else, if you do it enough you get good at it, but I am always impressed with people that are good at carb work. I am a pretty handy guy. I can wrench on many things and learned as a farm kid where dad and grandpa were cheap and didn't believe in paying someone to...

Would you also give the green light to run one with an Alaskan saw mill? 80-90cc (whatever they make).

The antivibration on this saw is pretty good in my opinion but it does seem to have a good bit of "travel" to it, even with the foam intact. I may experiment with some other materials just to see if I notice anything different.

Great. Thats what the foam I have looks like. Should be pretty simple to do. Thank you

Next question... How do I replace the thing? I just pulled the old one off because it was brittle but is the pin supposed to pull out? Do I just stretch the new one over top?
  33. W

It almost looks like something I could make. I've got a bunch of foam similar to it. May try that first.

What is this part called? I am looking to replace it. Its a bushing in buffer of some kind.
