scag freedom z

Just ran across a Scag Freedom Z with under 500 hours and a bagger for $3500. The pictures look good. Worth a closer look or should I pass?

I have a 2 acre field of 12"-16" grass that's gone to seed. Can I safely mow this with a 2011 Scag Freedom Z, 28 hp Briggs, without overworking the engine? I'm guessing no problem, but wanted to get other opinions.
