I'm trying to add a hydro turn front blade to my bx2200 and have had no luck locating the quick disconnects for the hydrualic hoses. I live in suburbia and the closest thing we have to a farm supply is Fleet Farm. The fittings they had were close but not close enough. Can anyone give me the description of what I'm looking for or where I can order it? Again, I want to hook up to the FEL lines. Thanks, Mike

I just happen to have on on my desk.. not as messy as the garage, but close. It is a Snap-Tite model 72. This is an industry standard disconnect and can be found on line at web page The information stamped on the fitting is "Snap-Tite Inc. 72" .....72C4...... The n*pple (not certain if the word is allowed) is stamped "72N4". I have also seen this part in brass by other manufacturers. I believe that they cost about $25 per set from Kubota. You should be able to get them from any shop that sells hydraulic parts..

The Kubota B series, and I believe the BX series, use a standard 3/8 inch hose quick disconnect coupler on their loaders. Should cost about $15-$20 at any hydraulic repair or parts shop. Check the Yellow pages for one near you.

Or you could check out Hydraulichosefittings.com . I believe you are looking for Series 4000 Ag couplers.

Fleet Farm should be able to get them for you. They are not anything special as most all compacts use that size. If you alert the right manager he might be glad you did!

Mike,

Junkman is correct on the couplers. I got mine from your backyard /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif JEM Technical carries the Snap-Tite 72C4-4F couplers and 72N4-4F nipples. The 4 designates the size, in this case 1/4". They have larger if you need them. I like the Snap-Tite brand as they have better flow specs but you can get the same category from other manufactures from Fleet-Farm or Tractor Supply (S. St. Paul).

Good luck,
Michael

I bought my quick couplers from MSC,

They are the 3/8", Snap Tite series 72. That is exactly the same disconnect as what the loader uses. $15.33 for the connector, $7.52 for the nipple. I have the 3710, not sure if your loader on the BX will have the same size or not. Probably, but may be 1/2". Look at the nipple, if it is 3/4" to 1" in dia, you have 1/2", around 1/2"-3/4" it's 3/8". If you order today, you will probably get it tomorrow, but that may not work this late in the day.

The Husco loader valve on the B series, L series, and probably the BX series, uses 3/8" ID hoses with 3/8" quick disconnects.

Thanks to everyone who replied, this list is awesome!
Fleet Farm actually had the correct size fitting, it had a different shape to it so I couldn't use it. I need the exact match which appears to be the snap tit fitting. JEM technical was out of stock with a 7 week lead time /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
