05 LT 2042 vs GT 2544

Any insight between the two? I have about 2 + acres to mow about half of which is very steep. I would also like to use a snow blade in the winter. I have heard 2 blades (2042) give a smoother cut but also 3 blades (2544) are best for uneven places. I have always bagged at my previous house but this new one I am torn between mulching and bagging d/t the larger size. About $400 difference between the two and 2 HP and 42 inch deck bs 44 inch.
