Tomorrow I pick up my new RTV 900, Camo, worksite tires, hyd lift, hard camo top, etc. I picked the worksite tires because they look to be pretty durable for lots of gravel and dirt roads. And I can then get the set of wheels/tires that I really need when I figure that out.

Got the dealer to include the hard top and the 50 hour service in the price.

What should I expect when I pcik it up in the way of orientation and supplies?

A set of keys....

Sorry, couldn't help myself....

I only got an owner's manual and a set of keys. There not much to go over but I would have them give you a run down on all the features and levers. Over all they are very simple to operate and everything is somewhat straight forward. I hesitate to start this but remember to let off the accelerator paddle when you need more power going up hill. It's a HST transmission...

Have fun and good luck...

Welcome, we are in Alto, NM and just got a work site model with ATV tires, mostly off road use. Only used it an hour or so but its pretty simple so far. Love the dump bed for chores. Seems to go most places an ATV will go - at least where my nerves will allow.

All I got was 2 keys and the owners book, not too detailed but enough for now. The dealer was good in demo and answering questions though.

Where's Alto? I have a small ranch that I will keep it on in Lindrith, NM. Do you know where Lindrith is? What dealer did you get yours from?

I picked it up yesterday morning and used it about 3 hours yesterday. I think I've got the old style (bad) front u-joint judging from some of the noise coming from the front end. I also noticed some hydraulic noise as I cut the steering back and forth... kind of a hiss at times.

Overall a pretty impressive machine. I had it in the Nat'l Forest (Santa Fe) which is just to the east of me yesterday and it ran real nice. Not as nimble as my 2 Honda Foremans, but it seems to barely drink the fuel. It did go everywhere I pointed it.

Will post some pictures in a week or two.

Hi There, Alto is South of you I think, about 15 miles north of Ruidoso. Ours is '06 model but we haven't driven it enough to have any idea about clunks and clanks - I bet that will come though.

I bought mine in Oklahoma, where I live also (until mid August when I will be full time in NM) from Enlow Tractors (Thad- good guy) . They seem very competetive price wise (10,800 = 300 bed liner = 200 for the plastic top)

As soon as I get out there I will put it through it's paces and post.

regards

Pinon pine makes great for burning. That and the cedar. Where I am, that's what we got. Don't have any hurricanes to knock down a bunch of oak for me.

That little Deere has been through some **** and still ticks. I used it on a feedlot for 15 years and then put it to real work on my place. The RTV is to replace the Deere, but I just got the RTV and haven't had much chance to put it through its paces. Maybe I'll just return the RTV and keep the Deere. Kidding!

I process about 40 - 50 cords of wood every year and am just getting started for the fall and winter season.
