Ok, So I went to my local dealer today, Cranked his L39. If I set the rpm to 2000 and max out any cylinder on the hoe the RPMs drop to 1800 while the engine is loaded. Its hoe was jerkier ( more responsive) than mine. I come home crank my bota do the same, My RPMs only go down to 1850. I realize this isnt very scientific, But does anyone think that is reason enough to suspect the main relief is set too low. Im contemplating buying the tools to check the pressure, But Id like to be reinforced before I spend another penny.
I talked to a mechanic there about the dipper extend failure and the directional lever that started the issue, he said he thought it was sucking air. But Im skeptical of that being the cause. I do see a possible "floppy bucket" with my dipper retract, as it takes a few seconds to build pressure once its fully retracted, But I dont see that causing my issue where dipper extend fails and causes everything else to fail with it.
So this is where I am at.
