That's the thing. I believe that for most people the winter has been mild thus far due to all the TBN members that have their tractors decked out as "snow killers" almost daring it to snow. All I can say is there must not be many TBN members in Denver.

We finally had measurable snow yesterday. First time this winter. 8" with 20-30 mph winds. Finally got to use my new tractor and cab. Modified a snow blade for the loader this fall and it worked great. In the past, I used a rear blade and FEL when needed. It is really nice looking forward to move snow. The rear blade still works best pulling snow away from building/garage. Got a little over excited and also plowed a mile of gravel road in front of my house! 7 mph traveling in second range, hydro to the floor and cruise control on. Spent 3.5 hours moving snow in warm cab and strong winds. Only got stuck once. Easily pulled out by my pickup. In the past used FEL to push myself out but can't do that with snow plow on front. It was mainly due to ice under the snow rather than snow being too deep. The highways were solid ice and rough. I have an unused set of truck tires chains that I will probably modify to use on the front.
I'll take on mother nature, I may not win but I'll take her down with me!

By the way, I'm waiting for the really big stuff so I can use my snowblower.

We just finally got some snow last night. Only a couple of inches and with the weather forcast it will be gone in the next day or so. But I did get my tractor out to push some deep drifts out of the way.

We used to be the snow Capitol of the east and it's 43 degrees out right now. Only storm we had was in October when we got a couple of feet of the heavy... Real heavy stuff and cracked branches and downed trees because of the weight. 90% of all trees had damage to them around here from the storm. I think global warming is a reality because Lake Erie is usually frozen solid by now but the water temp is still 43 degrees. If theat ole Cold west winds starts cranking over that warm lake in the next few weeks we'll be in trouble.. Few pics of Octobers mess..Woodchipper would've been the ticket here..........

It's a B3030 with a 64" RAD blower. I've had this for little over a year now and used it last winter. I'm happy with it, she does a fine job of tossing snow across the field. And I'm just as happy this year not having to use it yet.

No snow for me. In fact, I've been outside in my t-shirt working for the past few days, and came home sunburned. Mosquitos were out last night, enjoying the fireworks I presume. I'm not complaining, but the trees may be getting mixed up and start to leaf before long if this keeps up.

I'm starting to think that TBN is to blame for global warming. We have all prepared so much with our tractors, blades, snowblowers/throwers that mother nature has thrown in the towel?

I'm guessing that writing a reply like this will p*ss her off and we'll get to use our technology to compete...
