Look at the new Milwaukee m18 FUEL line of tools. It's a brushless motor and the 1/2" specs out at a little over 700 ft/lbs tightening and 1100 ft/lbs breakaway. Anything more than that use 1" drive and 8' Cheater pipe. I switched from the regular 18v Milwaukee to the fuel version and wouldn't dare go back now. It will buzz bush hog blades off with out batting an eye
