1/4 Inching and Postition Control

I'm with bird - no way I'd do without position control, and yep, I use it for mowing and the box blade, but its a convenience, not a necessity.

I wondered how big a deal it was before I got it, and have decided its a pretty big one.

Now cruise control, on the other hand, is mostly useless to my mind... barring mowing long flat fields, which isn't really a CUT job I'd think...

"How do you limit the travel of the arms for an implement that needs to be a certain height?"

I haven't had to do it myself, because mine has position control, but I've read on this site of people using "check chains" that go from the upper frame on the back, down to the front of the attachment. You set the length of the chain at the lower limit of where you want the attachment to drop and then you don't have to look back at it.
