Memorial Day is the #1 day in hay bale production in the South. Often Memorial Day is a family tradition in the South to bale hay. Be Safe and put her in the bale.

I've put about 250 rolls thorugh that Vermeer I got from CCI in the last week!
We always shoot for around the 1st of June for our first cut, but are ahead of schedule for a change!

If y'all have more hay than you need I'm sure you can ship it east and get good money for it. We have 1/3 of a crop all across the southern part of Va. Driest spring I've ever seen. We may be feeding hay in 2-3 weeks if we don't get rain soon. I just finished my 06 hay crop. Got 80 rolls. I've already bought 150 rolls and may have to use it soon.

And yes it's been perfect weather for cutting hay. 25 % humidity and dust behind the hay conditioner. Won't see any mold this year. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Baler messed up earlier. Should finish 1st cutting tomorrow.
Rolling right at 72% from last year. We're 8" below normal for year on rain. It's really dry & was 96 today. It could start getting bad soon.
