Very good show...
I do not like how they ditched the JDQA on the loader for the 1023E (H100) though...that is cheapening it up a little to much.
Yeah, I know what you mean, the D120 is pretty basic, it is a removable FEL but not an easy task, kinda cheap if you ask me. The pin on bucket is a downer too. The H120 is almost similar to the 200cx, quick attach FEL and bucket. Atleast you can get either FEL on either tractor so you can get a 1023E with the H120 FEL.
Seems like Deere is going to great lengths to make it sound like they re-invented the sub compact tractor. All I gathered from the show was.
1) addition of auto-connect mower.
2) Nice seat.
3) auto-connect 3pt hitch (they sort of led the viewers to believe this was part of the tractor.
4) Lots of lighting options.
5) No more curved boom loader.
6) tilt steering.
It will be interesting to see the pricing when it comes out.
After having a 2210 and now a 2720 I think all tractors should come with a premium suspension seat. This would likely only add a few hundred dollars to the cost at the front end.
Deere went to great costs to do all this, it shows they really are dependent on their customer base and want to offer the best to their customers. Way to go Deere!
Best Part was caller "Larry"
Max: hello caller Larry.........Larry........Larry are you there??
Larry: "WHY DOESN'T JOHN DEERE MAKE GEAR TRACTORS ANYMORE"!!
I thought that was funny too.:laughing: Their answer, "well the hydrostatic transmission is more popular so it is offered on these tractors due to customer preference". Then they gave the speech on how great hydro was and how hard gear is. And said that he should look more towards a 3005, 4005, or power reverser 3x20 or 4x20 tractor. I personally think they should offer a compact with gear in the 2x20 series atleast, not just the 20A, but something like a gear version of the 2320 or 2520.
1026r looks like a great machine. It was interesting when one caller asked where the 1 series are made and Dan Paschke said they are 'assembled' here in the USA. I wonder if any of it is 'manufactured' here in the USA? I assume the Yannmar engine comes from Japan. And the rest of it? Other countries such as China?
I had it on the DVR and wished I could have called and asked if they still had the Yanmar engines and where thery were made.:laughing: Assembled and made are two totally different words, I am curious how much plastic the 1 series will have on them. When my neighbor's 4100 was in a barn fire, i thought that had a lot of plastic and it was a 1999 model. :confused2: A good question would have been if the hood was metal or plastic.
