<font color="blue"> What is your first spring project when the snow clears and the ground thaws ? </font>

I have three projects I would like to do this year at my house, if I can juggle finances around to pay for everything without going into debt...

1) Pole barn for the tractors. My attached two car garage contains my wife's car and the new tractor. The size of the building keeps shrinking to stay within my budget (stupid OSB prices /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif). My wife wants an attached picnic shelter on the back too.

2) An attractive but inexpensive fence from the front corner of the house to the next door neighbor's fence. This will give the dog a little more room to roam when I can't watch her.

3) If time and money permit, I would like to build a deck on the back of the house to replace the steps the builder put in two years ago. If not, that will be the number one project next year.

Clean up my 40 X 60 quanset hut so I can store and find my stuff, redo the front lawn and reseed, and get the garden started.

I hope to take a weedy patch and transform it into a raised bed vegetable garden. Mostly cause the deer need something to eat /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif


Although...as PB in WA said, I should finish the deck. But it has been fine like it is for the last three years so I don't see why I can't let it go until next year. My wife does but I don't /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh I also forgot - put in an invisible fence for the 2 mixed lab puppies that we got last year so they don't run away like our beagle mix did last summer /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif.....I still miss her, she was a so much better dog than these labs....

1. Plumbing - fix pumphouse guts, replacing water main
2. Subdividing and electric fencing the perimeter of a 2.5 acre pasture
3. Preparing large new veggie garden
4. Planting trees trees trees (and raspberry brambles and other stuff)
5. finish remodling laundry room, remodel kitchen, fix seepage on roof

Anything else won't get done till summer for sure.

I'm tired already just reading about all of everyone else's projects. There is no rush on the deck.... it has been 20+ years in the making and almost 4 to get just this section done. Need to get a post hole digger to do fencing and some other projects, but my old car takes precedent to anything else.
