10 ft semi-mount or pull behind mowers

If your ground is flat ithink a solid deck pull type is ok. My neighbor just bought a 10' solid deck. He said it weighs around 1800 lbs. Paid 5800 for it i think, but it looks light. I have a bushhog 2610 legend was told it weighs 5000lbs but i dont know never had it over a scale. I really like it and fold to about 6' wide. Works well on terraces and ditches dont know if you have any of these though. With only 50 horses and no turbo you may have to start in short grass or raise itup before engaging pto.Mayhave to go a little slower too, but then you can look for junk inthe grass easier when going slower. Just my 2c

I've got a 2615 Legend. It's just over 4200lbs. (It's been weighed for hauling purposes) Bush Hog site doesn't list weights, but I'd guess the 10'er is a few pounds lighter.

My ground ain't flat at all and my 10 foot solid deck does fine. Don't get a batwing unless you're absolutely sure it's the answer. It's about three times the money and three times the grease fittings (wear points) and it takes a lot of hp to pull one. I had a batwing and I'm happy with my 10 footer solid deck. I maintain a couple hundred acres of pasture with it.
