I bought a pressure blaster a while ago and could not get it to work either.
It would do similar to what you describe, work a short while then quit.
I notice several others have said you may have wet (damp) sand, well mine was so dry that it would run out of the bottom of the tank without any pressure, like an hour glass does. The spec sheet that came with it showed one more valve than was in the package. I called the seller and after a discussion, was given permission to return it for a full refund. I would still like to have a pressure blaster that would work but am still pluggin along with siphion feed. I realize this is no help solving your problem.
Hope you find the answer to make it work.
