I think the industry is asking the wrong question. The question they keep asking is: Do you want more power? The answer people keep giving (with their money) is YES!!!
What I want someone to ask is what is the "Right" truck for 80% of people. I think a less expensive, 6 cylinder diesel, tow capable, high gas millage truck would be a major hit for a company. Much like the mini-van was years ago. Not too sexy and not much to brag about, but everyone would buy one!!!
The real question is...will the new torque management suck as bad as the prior version of torque management.

For me, its not about limitations, its about productivity and profit margins. What scares me is when people brag about what their truck does. Case in point, F350 SRW with tandem axle 20000 lb trailer, owner bragging that he hit the grain scale loaded to 39215. Same guy, single wheel, tandem dump trailer (14000 rating) puts 3 full cords of firewood on knowing the trailer brakes dont work. Then pisses and moans because seals and brakes arent made to hold up :confused2: Idiots like that, I hope to avoid because they dont realize what a hazard they are.A man has to know his limitations.

RAM Trucks. Too much power. Just like the cars, they put way too many horsepowers in the engines. And, NOW they gotta ruin the truck market by being the first 4 digit torque numbers... 35,000# towing.!
Who agrees that the numbers are just too crazy now?
