1026r block heater location?

Does it go in a threaded plug hole? Size? Which side and where on engine? Does Kats or any other aftermarket have them? Not going to pay dealer JD price or $400.00 for them to install.

I replaced my block heater on my jd2320 last year. I found out the JD part # was exactly the same as an after market one. If you pm me tomorrow I get the part for you.

I just checked the JD part number you need is AR8716. Yes it is the same as the part number as my 2320. The Zerostart brand part # is 310003. The are excatly the same. Very simple install. You'll find a plug mounted in a flange on the right(passenger) side of the tractor right near the fuel filter. Remove the friction fit freeze plug. Than threading the heater, dont forget the teflon tape, and voila your done. The worst part is dealing with the anitfreeze.

AR87167 Deere and 310-0003 ZeroStart are the same item at greatly different prices!

All,
I have a 4010 and would like to add a block heater. I think what I need is below:

I think I need to remove the freeze plug. What is the best way to remove it? Thanks for any help.

I think I used a hook style seal pulling tool. A slot screw driver and hammer will work also. It pretty thin material. Puncture it closer to one side than pry it out. Not as harder as it looks.
