John Deere 1026R
I just got my new1026R the other day and was wondering if anybody had one with a 54 inch snow blade. I'm trying to find some pictures of the front adapter for the QH. The dealer told me the hitch from my 445 won't work on this tractor but I think I can fabricate something to make it work. So if you could post a couple of picture I would be greatly appreciative.

Go to jdparts and look up the model no. of the blade. That might give you the info you want.

You can likely use the quick hitch you have, and see pretty quick why/how it doesn't mate up to your new 1026r. As well as see what needs to be altered to match the 54 blade (which likely didn't change much and the 445 hitch mates up to it (or do you already have the 54" blade? ).

I did try JDparts but was unable to find the break down of the 1026R hitch. The dealer was also unable to find the break down for the hitch. But I did find one picture of a tractor with a snow blade from which I'm pretty sure I just need a an adapter to make it work.

Do you have the 445 hitch and the blade that you want to put on the 1026?

Yes I do, Sorry I meant to put that in my first reply.

Then you are first in line to see just how it doesn't fit. At least you know that the hitch you have fits the blade you have. Only need to fit the hitch to the new tractor.
Let us know....too small, too big, ??

I would only guess that the front tires on the 1026 are larger than the 445, so the hitch will need to be lowered a bit to get the plow to push from lower down.

I will update this when I find the solution, and the tire sizes are the same from the 445 to 1026r.

I've posted pics of the quick hitch support items on GTT and MTF, but not here. I went 29 days without my 445 quick hitch before my new R with quick hitch arrived, so my recollection is a little hazey. It seemed to me that the 445 hitch is smaller in every direction than the R hitch. I do agree with the others though, you should be the one to show us the way, with lots of pics of course.

So its taken awhile to get to this point but, I finally found the answer to my question. My blade from my 445 will fit my 1026R, all I need is the adapter bracket and hose extensions. I have the bracket on order ($62 +tax) so hopefully when I get it all together I can post some pics and part numbers to help everybody out.

I'm getting the new adapter brackets plus the frnt hyd lift w/angle. I was told blade would work nothing else. I'm keeping my blade because I have a cutting edge off a D9 dozer..not planning on bending blade or wearing out the cutting edge.
I haven't seen these new parts coming over the next couple of weeks.
