I purchased the 1026R last year with R4's and they do an excellent job in the woods with the loader, but in my grass which tends to be softer and wet, I am tracking and sometimes tearing things up. The nature of grass in shade is the culprit as in the open the grass is tougher and the R4's are no issue.
Going to JD to buy another set of Wheels and Tires is $1k. Are there some alternatives that some of you have done? I know that the tires are higher ply (maybe 6 ply?), not sure if the Turfs are as well.
If anyone has a complete set to fit this tractor that may also be an option. I am thinking I just have two sets of wheels. If I get into serious loader work, I'll put the R4's on. Alternatively, I could put Turf's on my wheels and try them...
Your info is appreciated with regards to sourcing (I don't need any advice on R4's vs Turf at this point).
Thanks,
