Here's another example of a Severe duty "stump jumper" (correct term is called Blade Holder on these monsters...)... on a Rhino Treecutter rotary cutter, from the rear of the unit, notice the blade bolted to this 1 1/4" thick steel disc... this is "1" of four blades mounted on this animal...

By the way... this stump jumper alone weighs over 625 lbs... /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

I work for Rhino and we still have those gearboxes and solid plate carriers for that treecutter. I've been selling em pretty good on eBay. I'm in charge of getting rid of all the older or excess materials like this.

I'd go with the International...about 5 years ago I bought a new International (IMC) 7footer with twine tailwheels...great/heavy mower. I subsequently bought a 5 footer for one of the smaller tractors. I paid $580 for it and didn't get the slip clutch (got one with the 7 ft). It's built tough, and cuts good. Also, if the Woods had beat up sides, its a sure sign that a bunch of rocks/heavy something was run over by a previous owner. Parts/blades are readily avail for the IMC....go get it. BobG in VA

$550 for an IM502 is a great price. SSB for example, is selling the same cutter for $795 new. Parts support comes from World AgriTech outa Ohio. I have had an IM602 for five seasons now, and have no complaints whatsoever.
