Glad it worked out.
Next time your at one of the auto parts stores pick up a little packet of dielectric grease it's usually on the counter and costs less than $2.00. Open up the connector and fill it with the grease then put it pack together. Should keep the water and dirt out. If I remember correctly the connector is not a weather proof connector.
