Finished building my pulverizer and thought I would try to post some pics. I bought the 10" I beam and the "A" frame and a few steel pieces. I think the only thing I would do different is try to weld a little better. I began to get real good with the grinder tho.
I really enjoy this forum with all of its great ideas. Thanks to all for ideas and help. Billy

That is a really slick looking job - but I have a question. What exactly is a pulverizer for? This is sort of a newbie question but I am asking because sometime next year or the summer after I will finally get to the point where I can finish off the landscaping on my house and I am wondering if this is an implement that could do me some good. I've got a welder and am always looking for a good winter project. Thanks

Jim I'm fairly new to this tractor thing but I do a little new home construction landscaping here in SC. Most of the lots are 1/3 to 1/2 acre. We usually till, boxblade to move dirt, and finish off with either the boxblade set way back so you are working with just the rear blade to get a smooth job or use a pulverizer. Sometimes you can get by with just a pulverizer if there is not too much growth. Anyway the roller on a pulverizer gives the yard a SUPER smooth and flat finish
that is unmatched with a boxblade. I know there are lots of people on this site who are very knowledgeable on this subject
but this method seems to work in this part on the state.

Darn you! I have been trying to avoid the temptation to buy a welder but things like this make it harder.

Beautiful job. Could you drop by my house next weekend and whip one of those out for me?

I had not seen one of those before and it looks like something I would like to use. I need to cover up some of the holes my dogs have dug and would like to aerate the soil too. Looks like that would do both very nicely.

Here is what a pulverizer will do to the ground. Pulverized Sample I built one myself. They are so much superior to a LS box for putting the finishing touches on a new yard. They leave you will a great surface to sow grass seed.

Yours looks great, your scarifers are set up like mine. Yours looks much better than mine, but then again, I only have about $30 in mine. Here is the link to mine. My homebuilt pulverizer.

There is a lot of work to these things. Lots of cutting, drilling, and welding!
