Sounds like you need a carburator rebuild. Running rich and gas pouring out has nothing to do with piston rings and valves. The engine itself could still be good.

sorry for the slow response, that may be true, but when i got her running again i ran her up to try and clear everything out then heavy smoke and she shut down, i assume the engine went south.
