You will find that the 7308 is still the current offering for the 25, 29,33. I don't see a 14LA but they go directly up to the 16LA and 17La which for the 35 and up.

There may be a 14LA that is not posted yet in their web page and only the dealers are aware of it.

The 14LA is in the works, but not out yet that I am aware of. As stated, it will replace the 7308, and not a moment too soon!
I never liked the 7308, they might better have kept building the 7108's.

Rick,

What did n't you like about the 7308. I have liked mine so far, but you may have more experience than me.

7308 issues

Remember, I work on them, I don't use them. The 7308 is a "bridge" model, designed to sell with the 1720,1920 and the original 'Boomers" , the 25 and 30 series. On certain models and tire/wheel configurations, the loader will not dig below grade with the bucket flat. The original design of midmount latches was unsafe to the point that NH had a campaign or program (can't remember which) to replace the wrenchless latch system with one that was safe but cumbersome to use. The latest design mid latch is a great improvement. The front bracket had to be designed a couple times to get it right. The hooks that engage the loader frame with the front mount get out of adjustment when using heavy downpressure unless the bolts are mega-tight. Just not an impressive piece over the years.

RickB,

Them front hooks on mine always came loose. I even put a 30" bar on my wrench to tighten them. And they still came loose. I took them in to the dealer and asked them why would I ever have to loosen them again, they told me no reason. I told them to get the welder out and weld them in place.

As far as the wrenchless latch system mine is very easy to use. My loader is only 9 months old so can I assume I have one of the better ones?

The picture attached shows the weld job. Not my weld job, the dealers but it should work and if we have to we should be able to grind it off to take apart again. I hope anyway.

My dealer did the exact same welding on my 7308 loader. It was done without any intervention from me before the tractor was delivered. I always wondered why, and now I know. This is another of the many advantages of a good dealer.

I wasn't aware there was a problem with the bolts working loose and have never noticed mine being loose. I will check out my tractor and loader tomorrow to make sure the bolts are still tight. Not good to find this out a year and a half after the fact! Thanks for the heads up!

Chris,

Actuallly my bolts never came loose. The little hooks for some reason would move forward and then the loader would jump above the bars. I even tightened mine with a 30" bar and still could not stop the hooks from moving forward. I just finally had them welded in place. If you don't do any uplifting you should be ok. I use my loader to lift the tractor off the ground to get the mower on and off. This is where I have the most trouble with it.
