Hi folks...gravelman here..i just bought a brand new Kubota 2650...beautiful machine. It has a cigar lighter plug on the dash board and also, a pigtail wire behind the seat left side. It has a strange electrical connector and im not sure what it is for??? yes, i will check with the dealer but wanted to know if anyone else has that.. id like to be able to plug in a rotary light or something like that but not sure how to proceed... thanks folks..

A photograph may be helpful. Or consult the wiring diagram in the workshop manual. Sometimes if you note the wiring colors you can find them on the diagram. A quick voltmeter check with the key off and then with the key on may yield a clue. If voltage is found then pulling out fuses in the fusebox may help explain the original purpose. Scientific method, gather data, form a hypothesis, and then test that hypothesis will nearly always yield a positive result. Notice I used the "weasel word" nearly.:)

that is very helpful...i appreciate it. i will follow up on this. I dont want to ruin anything...will probably visit the dealer in the am..

Could it be someone disconnected the seat sensor? I have seen several that look similar...

i will say tho...on pg 60 of the operators manual...it shows two 12 volt outlets and that pigtail is one of them.... no mention of seat etc... im going to follow your lead tho

It is a type of Molex "T" connector utilizing "spade" connectors. You can use singe male and female spades to hook into that also if you cannot find the shell.

ok, i must admit i am not savvy on electrical stuff... i was hoping to be able to plug in a cigarlighter type plug to run a warning light..
