I have a Bota 7610 hst,, and am thinking about adding a plow on front for the winter,, What i was wondering was I have an old 12v elect. plow pump left over from my truck,, Would it be possible to use this for the power angle?? I would also plumb to my manual thumb and a dump trailer I would like to build this winter,, Will the battery handle it ??

No expert, but I built a power unit for my dump wagon. I had to add a larger reservior to the 12v pump and I powered it with a marine battery. I switch the pump on/off when needed, so it runs very little, only when I'm dumping. I would expect if you only run the pump when you want to angle the blade, it shouldn't be a problem.

I am not sure about the battery question, but 12v pump setup like used for snowplows draw a LOT of current! An I am quite sure the reservoir on it will not be enough for your dump trailer.

Why not add some remotes to your tractor? Seems like in the end it would be much simpler and possibly even cheaper...

Thanks guys,, Your both right,,I would need more a bigger reservior for the pump plus locating somewhere,,,It would probibly be cleaner to add another set of remotes to the back..The plow can be tied into the dump hydraulics up front...hmm I'll have to look and see how to do it though,,maybe in some past posts I'll find it,,,

FYI
I had a meyer plow with electric hydraulics.
since I had aux lighting for night usage, more than once I needed to walk home to get a booster start as that electric pump would totally drain my huge battery.
The big cherokee alternator just could not keep up with the power drain! and most tractor alternators have for sure less output than that old cherokee did!
I read that some barely have 25 amps or a bit more.

Yes been reading some posts on this,,and the best way I guess is to put in a electronic deverter valve of some sort off my curl..mounted on the fel arm somewhere,, Do they make a button that can go right on the joy stick...?? I would like one there and another maintained switch on back for the thumb.. One thing i'v been looking for and havn't been able to find in the past posts is a plumbing diagram.. I think the thumb would be a duel action and the plow would be a single action,,how do i allow for this,,??... Tons of questions and the plow is still sitting at the dealers,,lol...

Because your plow has two SA cylinders, it effectively becomes a DA circuit. You just plug each hose into the ports for that circuit. Search some plow posts using these terms.

FEL plow
FEL snowplow

As for a diagram, go to THIS link, then click on the "more specs" tab in the middle for the diagram. It's basically a DPDT switch if you are familiar with electronic stuff.

As for the thumb, you could also plumb in a manual or electric diverter off on of the outrigger circuits so you won't have to reach around to the joystick to operated the thumb.

There are replacement handles you can buy that have switches in them, they seem to start at about $100 and go up from there-or you can make a switch box that mounts to your joystick if your real handy.
