Anybody know how many watts or amps the outlet will support? If it's in the owner's manual, I can't find it. Even though I've got a 3720, it's probably got the same DC outlet rating as the 2000 series.

The 2520 made between 2006-2008 did not have one. The 2009 and newer ones do. I run a tow behind 15 gal. sprayer with a small 12V pump.

I actually had the cheap cigar lighter plug on the end of the cord start to melt. No damage to the outlet on the tractor, and the fuse never blew. The tractor might not be the limiting factor on how much current you can draw.

I've got two 12VDC power ports on my 4200 that I added. One is on the back for whatever, and the other is just to the left of the seat in case I put a crowbar in my wallet and get some Gerbing heated clothing.

That pump looks interesting; but I agree with Kenny that 1GPM is pretty slow; but holding close to 35-pounds of diesel in an awkward position is a pain too.

I want to hear some opinions on this pump. Is it worth the $59.00 bucks? .. Or does anyone have other suggestions for a transfer pump.

I made a tank to hold diesel out of 20'' sch.10 stainless steel pipe, and bought a fill-rite hand crank pump. I can pump 5 gallons in less than a minute. The tank holds 50 gallons. You could use any type of drum, eliminates the gas cans.

Thank you, I did not know that...thanks for the clarification.

I agree that a tank and small handpump would be less trouble for these small tractors. I used to use a Tuthill hand operated diaphram pump to fill my dozer and even that was less than 5 minutes.

Well my thoughts were how long does it take to add 5 gals of diesel by holding it till empty. Gotta be around the same time. I would think if it takes me 5 mins to add 5 gallons of diesel by just squeezing a lever at least im not holding that heavy can. :)

Anyway... I wanna save my back for something better, Like driving my new 2520..

The $59 pump looks cheaply made and probably won't last. TSC sells a quality pump/nozzle/hose for about $250, currently on sale for $220. I chose instead to build a gravity fed fueling station with a $10 surplus 55 gallon drum. A second drum goes to town for refilling, and then is lifted with FEL attached forks on the tractor, high enough to gravity feed the drum on the stand. The nozzle, hose and fuel filter/water separator were all purchased at TSC for about $100. This set-up allows easy fueling of the tractor, RTV, and my truck. In the shed is a 10kw Kubota genset, which is currently powering everything on the ranch, as last night's severe windstorm created a widespread power outage. It could be some time before power is restored. 55 gallons will run the generator nonstop for over 4 days.

Check the fuse in the fuse panel, that should tell you what the circuit is rated for in amps. For DC power, it is current times voltage so if, for instance, it has a 15A fuse in it that would be a max of 180 watts. This is assuming that it is a dedicated circuit just for the 12VDC outlet.
