Just got done planting whitetail institute pure attraction and tall time tubers. I've never planted them before but had turnips on this plot the past 2 years from my local ag store.

I've had great luck years past but hoping for a banner year after getting the soil going to full speed by adding 3 tons of lime and 400lbs of pot ash based upon my soil sample results. The plot is just under an acre. Most of which is pure attraction and small corner of tall tine tubers.

Any one have any luck with these?

I have some pics of after I sprayed and ripped it up. hope to keeping adding photos to show the hopeful promising results I look for.

I've had the best results with turnips, but nothing spectacular. I'm still going to plant some, but I'm also trying new seeds every year. I wasn't very impressed with Whitetail Institute, but I don't know if it's a local thing or if my soil wasn't right. Right now I'm leaning towards peas again. I did cow peas once and they grew great, but I didn't see anything eating them.

Post some pics of your results

It takes 6 months to a year for your line to do anything so unless u limed it last fall or this sprung it will have little effect on this years growth, well ph which also helps plants if your soil was too acidic. But the main thing is it makes that fertilizer more available for the plants to uptake instead of being bound up in the soil particles at the low ph.

Got a small plot going in this weekend that's turnip, peas and winter wheat. Trail cam is full of wild critters. I'll see what kinda pics I get!

Whitetail Institute has some good products but they are expensive "IMO". My local feed store does a mix that consists of large leaf clover, turnips, chicory, and rye grass. I pay about $3.65 a pound for it. It's been a good season for acorns, and I suspect the deer are taking advantage of that.

I plant mostly about this creek, with a strip 7' wide going to the west about 200'.
