I've found a 1428 for $1200 less than a 1528 , but the dealer is 4 hrs from my home. The only one I've seen up close is the 1528. Can anyone give their thoughts on the differences of these two machines? By the way, the dealer says that I can have the new style 1520 loader put on the 1428. Is this right?

The 1520 loader will fit the 1428. The main difference on these models is the platform on the 1528 has been cleaned up, new style seat, larger fuel tank, folding ROPS and the styling of the sheet metal has changed.

One major difference is the 1528 now has the gear shift on the fender instead of below the seat. I think the fender shifter is much better. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

$ 11500 for a 1428hst is a good price.that what the 1528 gear model is going for. $3600 for the fel is the going rate. $12700 is a fair price also. 2 MF dealers my way want $13500 for the 1528 .
