which 15 ft rotary cutter is the best one for the money?

Modern Ag. they are made of heavy 7 gauge steel, then galvanzied. they are really heavy duty and you get a ten year rust warranty becuase it is galvanized, and 5 year gearbox warranty. we sell a bunch of them. the cities and municipalities, really like them too. you can get a 15 foot bat wing for $12,250. THey are made in Texas

Many farmers say Schulte is the best. Schulte Industries Lots of people like Bush hog, which is very good. I have a 15' JD HX and no complaints, however the price of my used JD was too good to pass.

i hear ya on the used JD.. I picked up a 1998 used JD 1517 batwing from a horse farm for a mere 2000$.. needed 5 minutes of welding. mows like a dream..

NO... Each has their own exclusive designs. Each brand has models that cater to specific job needs. There are multitudes of "duty rating" levels within each brand.

I got a Woods (used) at an auction that was consigned by a local county gov. It didn't give me any trouble.

Real nice almost new Shulte 15 ft batwing went at local farm auction 2 weeks ago for $7000. That was a good buy. Ken Sweet

i really like it.i have not had a bush hog brand mower since i was a kid.i have been using 1000 rpm john deere's.i have cut brush and briars higher than the tractor cab.i have seen a need for more than 75 pto horse power.i broke 2 blades this summer .but i am real satisfied.

Glad you like it.:thumbsup: They seem to be a top choice for people cutting the roads ROW's, so they got to be tuff. They have a good resale value also.

I've been lookin for a good, used 2715/2615 with airplane tires. But I need to find some $$$ first.:laughing:

I have a 8ft RCR3596 LandPride,has been really good shredder(built tough),they use a LandPride batwing to mow R.O.W pipe-lines for the Oil Company I work for,went from Rhino to LP must say something. I like the ModernAg also...

Just picked up a Woods medium duty 180 15' batwing. Haven't had the chance to use it yet since nothing needs cutting, but my 62PTO HP tractor spins it up no problem!
I wanted a bush hog, but they're too proud of them up here!
