Is this going to be available with a diesel option?

Looks pretty nice. Be about right with a small V8.

I thought I remember seeing some really nice "tough" looking concept pictures, did they tone it down? It seams like most mfgs don't like to produce anything but kind of bland looking vehicles. It's why all the small SUVs like the Rav4 look alike. I think these large companies are so worried about what others are selling that they get worried that they have to do the same. Why not make an all terrain version like the Sierra concept. Now that would turn heads.

Unfortunately, concept vehicles are always "toned down" when they go into production. Just look at the difference between the F150 "Atlas" concept, and the one that made it to production. We'd have a lot better choices on the market if they would allow actual concept vehicles to hit the market.

I think the front end of the Chevy version is very attractive.
And bland styling? Geez, look at the new F150, every one is trying to outgrill the next guy, and
I'm not talking barbecue...
I kind of like the plainer styling which thankfully is why they make plainer versions and full bling ones too.

Now if they would drop the 420hp 6.2 into it they would have a seriously interesting truck. :dance1:
But I'll be glad to wait for the diesel.
If I don't buy a Ram "Eco-diesel"(what a stupid name) by then...c'mon GM, get that diesel in production...

I've eyed up the Ram as well!

Right now, the truck I'm most interested in seeing first hand and more details on is the Ram 1500 diesel. The new GMs look pretty nice style wise - a bit more aerodynamic at the back end to me, and the new Ford looks real nose heavy to me - more than my current F-150. And what the he!! is Toyota doing with the Tundra? A slight face lift, but falling way behind in all the important areas, especially engine options. For the number one world-wide vehicle maker (or did they fall back to two?), they sure don't seem seriously interested in competing in the US full size pickup market.
