150 Hr Service - ??

I just looked at my oil after reading the posts here and I am changing it the week end. I only have 130 hours on the beast-and did the 50 hour service at 50-but the oil is black as it gets!
When I do use my tractor it is usualy very intense, so every 50 hours is going to be the rule with me from now on.

I take it this is your first diesel. The "blackness" does nothing to degrade the lubricating quality of the oil.

RAT you are correct-this is my first diesel. The dealer said the exact same thing!
I put 50-75 hours on my tractor each year. The service guys recommended that I continue to take it in for it's yearly examination each December and suggested that if I continue to take care of it in the present manner it should out last me.
