Yanmar YM1500 tach drive/cable question...
actually, two questions that I'm sure SOMEBODY has gone through the trouble figuring out already.
1. the tach cable appears to be a simple square drive. but, does anyone know what size? (.104", .124", metric???)
I don't have anything to measure this accurately.
2. is the tach driven at a .5:1 ratio? ...or is it something oddball? This I can check manually by removing the tach drive and counting teeth...(if I HAVE to).
the reason for this is that I plan to replace my tach with a slightly larger/easier to read unit... hopefully one that will match the guages I just installed. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
but I need to know these things first...
so anyone who knows, please advise.
Thanks much, in advance...
