1500, what\'s it worth?

You all have been a tremendous help in getting me settled in to my recently purchased Yanmar 1500. We solved the cooling problem, I'm no longer worried about the loud noise the motor makes. I have figured out how to balance the load so I can get around. But it is still a two wheel drive! I never should have borrowed my neighbors 4wd John Deer. The poor little Yanmar will always be inadaquate in my eyes now.
So now she goes up for sale. My concern is that I may have paid too much for it. I paid $5900 and it came with a brush hog, post hole digger, box scraper and a front loader. She is in very good condition for her age and under 600 hours. I live in Olympia Washington. Any idea what it might be worth?

In TN you can purchase a 15002wd in real good condition for $2500. I have seem them sell at auctions for as little as $1800. I hope the market is better in Washington state.

You didn’t pay that much. it is the same price as the professor is quoting he just isn’t adding up all the extras. I don’t know who you bought it from but I will take a guess at the price breakdown.
2500.00 tractor
1500.00 loader
500.00 brush hog
500.00 posthole digger
500.00 box blade
= $5500.00
+ $451.00 8.2% sales tax
= $5900

Did I get close? I would keep your implements and sell the tractor by itself. Much easier to find people with $4500 in their pocket than $6500. Have fun

Did you buy from a dealer? If so maybe you can trade to a 1500D. If you end up keeping your 1500, have you tried filling the rear tires?

Hosejockey is right. The YM1500D is an excellent 4wd tractor and will do much more work than the YM1500. If you bought it from a dealer he should let you trade up and the difference shouldn't be more than a few hundred dollars.
