I thought the deck had 6" of clearance so I went and looked it up and it does. Not a ton but with the short wheelbase I have not had any problems. I am sure there are times it maybe too low but a different angle of attack may solve that issue.
I personally have not mowed with the backhoe on but have heard others say you can. Our yard has some really steep spots and the BH would would just be too much Im afraid. For example: A few years ago I used a 2 wheel drive box store "tractor" (not going to mention the brand and get everyone stirred up) but I tried coming up one of our hills when it was damp and made it about ス way. At that point i lost traction and slid backwards to the bottom. (By the way that is very "exciting" if you never tried it - also I recommend you don't)

The other thing I like about the MMM is the way it is made it is easy for me to slide out from under the tractor and stand up against the wall of my storage bldg for the winter. I just have two Eye bolts in the studs and use a ratchet strap to hold it up against the wall. The RFM was just too hard to flip up and do this with (not even really sure why - maybe the length). If you put a MMM on the BX I personally like the 60"- the machine has NO problem driving it and it hangs out far enough that I can get nice and close to things (and under the edge of my wife's ornamental bushes.)
The rear bagger is also available for the MMM if that would ever interest you in the future - A RFM limits any possible bagging options. We have a TON of leaves every fall so I am currently trying to decide which bagging system I want for it as there are several available.
Hope that helps!

I have the 60" MMM on the BX2200 and the 6' RFM on the L3800. I take the 3pt lifting arms off the BX now for two reasons. On hilly land around the house when backing down a slope the arms will dig into the ground and when pulling a roller, dethather or cart the arms will hit the implement when turning and bend something. I also take the FEL off both machines when mowing as they bounce a lot and as you know completely change (raise) the center of gravity. Also I find myself concentrating on the FEL clearing stuff more than the mower.
While it is true the RFM with rear discharge stays cleaner, is easier to clean and change blades, it really shines on large open areas. Getting near the house and into tighter spaces I am happier with the MMM on the smaller BX. :) I've been set up this way for 3 seasons now and it seems I'm set up fairly efficiently.

When the EPA decides that we can only have one mower per household (for environmental reasons :confused2: ) I'll have to choose the MMM. :tractor:

Thanks for your comments, DB, JT and Code54! I still have some time to figure it out and until I do, I have my trusty Honda walk mower that I use on my small yard now.

Another question, I have the BroTek wheel spacers (1.25in on front, 2in on rear) and I recall there being some interference issues with the MMM. Can someone please comment specifically on this? Is it true the 54in MMM is okay but the 60in won't work?

For some reason I was thinking the 60" mower was good to go but the 54" was not. I snapped two photos for you so you can see the clearance I have with the stock wheels. It looks like there would be more than enough room but Im sure someone else can comment with real world experience. Soon as I get some free tractor spending money I would like to order a set. Also a set of stabiworks turn buckle replacements are high on the list.
Funny you mentioned the trusty Honda mower - used mine today and mowed/bagged the yard. Seems the wife wanted some grass clipping to make some kind of compost - I got her about 30+ bags so that should be a start....

I think it has to do with the fronts but I am not sure now... maybe I have to post another thread?

Did a little research on the BroTek spacers, from their instructions I found online:

"You are now the proud owner of a Bro-Tek Wheel Spacers.
These Wheel Spacers (BX-WS-R) are made for your Kubota tractor
rear axle. It will outlast your original Kubota tractor & be ready
for your next one. Please read these instructions, before
installing the Wheel Spacers. The Wheel Spacers have been designed
for easy installation on your Kubota. Wheel Spacers are a bolt-on
item. Unit will be shipped complete in a box, all hardware
included. Designed to be very easy to install.

Important If you have a Mid Mount Mower , only the 60” will work with the spacers.

bro-tek@hotmail.com or you can reach us at www.bro-tek.com"

Looks like you are OK with the 60" MMM- I also added their email address if you want to double check with them directly. Going from memory here, but I also think my front wheels on the tractor are forward of the mower deck enough that spacers there will be well clear. I can check tomorrow for you.
Another thread wouldn't hurt, I would think someone here would have that setup.
