My 1510D is stuck in 4WD. I suspect it is the pin on the 4WD lever that moves the slider to engage the shaft to the front end. Is there any hope of fixing this without splitting the tractor? Any suggestions?

If the arm moves on the shaft you should be able to access it from outside. If the shaft moves with the arm, you can access the fork by taking the drive shaft off and removing the sliding gear holder from under the middle of the tractor.

I have had transmissions get stuck in a gear. The fork had either broken or bent.

When it happened on mine, it was simply the roll pin that fixes the 4wd lever to the shaft. Be sure to check it first and I hope you are that lucky.

I am not that lucky...

It appears that the fork shaft is frozen, and then someone forced the 4WD lever and bent the finger. That would not be so bad if I could get things apart in a reasonable amount of time. After removing the pin, I found the 4WD lever is frozen on the shaft, and it will require some extra thought to break free.

After a couple of hours to disassemble corroded parts; and 15 minutes to weld the finger, put grease on the sliding fork shaft, and assemble, it works nice and smooth now...
