Just to make sure I knew what I was talking about, I went out this afternoon and fired up the tractor. I had it plugged in to test the new block heater, so it wasn't really a cold start. Fired right up, and the smoke was minimal and blue, then pretty much cleared up after a minute or two. I'm thinking the double dose of Power Service silver bottle is helping me out. I'm sure a compression test would be a good idea, but for now I'm not too worried about it. She runs fine, and I can live with a little smoke. What I really need to do is get her working hard and warmed up, but pushing snow around doesn't really stress her.

Just to put smoke into perspective, I had white/blue smoke at startup for a min or so then it basically cleared up once the tractor warmed up. I tested most of the things you are doing including pop testing injectors and new glow plugs. All of the aforementioned helped, but didn稚 fix the underlying problem. After rebuild I get a puff of black smoke (unburnt fuel) and if it痴 cold a little condensation burn off at startup, it then clears up entirely until you give it a lot of throttle quickly. I did all the work myself and it cost me $700. I know you can operate and run with blow by, but for me fixing it made the tractor much more capable and unlimited the need for other parts to wear out faster having to compensate for the low compression. I think you may have a compression problem, that痴 just my hunch from listening to you describe your problems. Has this tractor EVER had starting fluid/ether used to aid in starting?
