Had a chance on Monday to plow my yard & driveway along with my neighbor's after getting 6 to 8 inches of snow. I spent a couple hours on the tractor and was very pleased overall. Had I not put those chains on, I would have been at it much, much longer. They made all the difference in the world. I've decided not to chain the front tires. I occsionally get a bit of bucket drag where turning the front tires doesn't correct the problem....however, a tap or two on the appropriate brake pedal corrects it and easily gets things back on track. I would also be concerned about clearing the steering linkage on each front tire if I chained them.

While not cheap, they were a worthwhile investment. I don't regret spending the $$ on them. The highway ride isn't what it was, but I'm not spending much time on the asphalt so it matters little.

A couple of pics from Monday's effort. Not too bad for a front end loader job, IMO. :)
