1533/challenger 265B troubleshooting help

I got a challenger 265B with about 130 hours. It seems to start and run just fine with no sign of any problem. Occasionally, the engine would just shutdown. I can immediately restart and it will continue to running again. It usually happens when I stop for a couple of minutes. It's happening more often lately. Anyone have this problem with their tractor? Any help to figure this out is greatly appreciated.

When you are stopped are you shifting your weight around in the seat with the tractor in gear, it could be the seat safety switch.

Hmm, I got to pay attention next time. Is there some sort the safety switch on the seat?

Allot of the newer tractors have a safety switch under the seat so the tractor will stop if you depart. On my 1529 it has a switch with a white plastic lever that is actuated by the seat, if you get off with it in gear it will stop. Perhaps your switch is a little out of adjustment and just moving around, shifting you weight is causing it to stop

Yes 1st make sure your seat switch is good to go, then look at this http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...g-operating/106036-1533-no-start-problem.html <<< If that solenoid is weak I just wonder if it would do what you are saying is happening to you.

Just another vote for the seat switch, mine gives me trouble often enough that I have a jumper made from a little piece of wire ready to go.
