That's great that they have a bead on the problem!!!

I'm still puzzled by the white smoke and power loss though. Did they offer any explanation for that symptom?

Have you changed the fuel filter and blown out the air filter? Also when mowing in high dusty areas you will need to blow the radiator out with air from the inside out and not just clean the screen... it can look clean but it can have dust built up inside.

the error light was due to a faulty temperature sending unit. Evidently common? The smoke was due to a change in fuel sources. Had always used from the Citgo down the road, got a can from Speedway just before the problems started. The dealer gave me a bottle of diesel fuel conditioner and said that it is being recommended by Mahindra to use due to differences in fuel between USA and India.
And yes all filters were changed at the 50 hour mark as recommended by Mahindra and I check the air filer and radiator diligently. Thanks everyone for the feedback, hope the information helps others as well.
