If this wee a customer, I'd be suggesting both. But it's not so I'll do the one that's bad and leave the good one alone

I'm confused.. did u order a new COMPLETE INJECTOR or just get a tip??
& the decision of just getting 1 is a bad 1.. the opening pressure is going to be different..
Hoye has the tips for 30.00.. shoulda just ordered 2 tips & been done.. but hey its your machine..
Good luck w/ the repair..

Thanks for your input. I ordered a complete one. I do agree with always doing two for the pressure reasons. I am planning on setting the used one to what the new one is. As stated before, ONLY reason I am doing this is because it's my machine and I aware of what I'm getting into.

Little update on this thing. Installed new injector, and still had no fuel coming out of the Injector. Had what seemed to be the same amount and pressure as #1. After removing the delivery valve holder on the pump, I found #2 did NOT have the delivery valve spring in it. Lol. This tractor only has 300 he on it and looks **** near New. I know the original owner and I am now the 2nd owner. He said this thing always started hard and seemed like it was low on power. I am now wondering if it somehow slipped through the cracks like this from the factory. I don't know. I'm trying to locate all the parts for #2 injection and I'll see if it works. Was going to swap parts from the other but didn't want to mismatch machined items. But I'd say I found why the injector wasn't making any pressure.

Do u have the pump out?? IF NOT & u took the holder out, the barrel probably came off its seat..
& u have to be very very careful reassembling it.. The barrel is centered in the housing w/ a lead pin..
If the barrel is off its pin & you torque the holder back down.. it shears the pin & your S O L..
THERES A REASON people do this for a living..

The pump is not off the tractor either.

I guess all of us who don't work on these every single day are not worthy, to your standards at least. This will be more than likely the last post I do on this thread. Just kinda tired of the "worthy than tho" crap.

Its not like THAT.. I'm mearly saying your over your head.. Your taking things apart and your making it worse..
If you get a spring & go to tighten it up.. your gonna shear the pin the housing.. but seeing you've done abunch of these.. go right ahead..
How about YOU keep posting & "I" wont comment..
I "thought" I was helping..

That's kinda funny then. Why does it now run perfectly? New DV's and springs and it runs like a brand new tractor.

For the record, I stated I've done alot of Deere, Cummins, Isuzu injectors. Not claiming to be a know it all. The day I become to proud to learn, is the day I should hang it up. I'm know I'm not over my head here, this style governor and fuel pump and injectors are pretty simple. But hey what do I know. It's not like I've been working on heavy equipment for 15+ years and fully certified as a Deere field technician or anything.
