The sidewall of your current tire should say On XX Rim

Thanks for the comments so far, I haven’t yet made it to where the Massey 253 is parked in order to measure the width of the rim and look for more info written on the tire.

But I stopped at my local Elberton, Ga tire dealer who sells and mounts tractor tires and he said that factory installed turf tires were sometimes put on wider than normal Ag tire rims, which if mine was, it could be a problem getting Ag tire to expand and inflate, even though both tires are the same size (16.9-24) He said to measure width of the rim before proceeding.

LOL, looks like fun. Come to think of it, I’ve seen this done in the 70s, I believe the guy used a little acetylene torch gas.
