I went out to use the grader yesterday to repair parts of the driveway when it suddenly started making a very odd noise. From the cab, it sounds like you are dragging metal under the tractor.
I pulled the panels off and checked everything, including fluids and the belt. I crawled underneath and could not find the source of the noise.

Secondly, I put on the pallet forks today; the tractor hardly applied any lifting force.

I uploaded a video. If anyone would like to guess the extra noise you hear, the first 30 seconds of driving are just before you hear the sound around, which is at 31s. Increasing RPM while sitting does not create the sound. It does not matter which gear or if it is going forward or reverse.

My hearing is bad so not sure on sound but did you try lowering the 3 point a little and double check that all the rear remotes are in neutral or center position?

Why would rear remotes need to be in the center position to use the loader? My loader works no matter what position my rear remotes valves are in.

I have a 4075R making the exact same noise. The problem is it doesn't do it all the time so it is difficult to find. It is currently at the dealer for this issue. They replaced the front differential. The rock shaft cylinder was scored,

I have a 4075R making the exact same noise only worse. It is currently at the dealer for this issue. They replaced the entire front differential. It also had a scored rock shaft cylinder. After they get it fixed they can drive it and see if the front end was the problem. I will be following this post for sure. I hope it's not the main hydro pump, they already replaced the utility pump when I first got it. Thanks John

On some models of tractors with fixed displacement pump the loader valve supplies oil to the rear remotes and 3 point. All the valves are in series. Depending on the loader valve design the loader may have limited lift capabilities if the rear remotes or 3 point are also requiring pressure

If you have a variable volume pump it does not matter what position rear remotes or 3 point are in since the valves are in parallel.

Just wondering have you contacted your dealer, and if so what was the response. If both of us are having the same issue there may be others also. Maybe John Deere is aware of it.

The remotes are all correct; the RK was easy to do this on, but the JD returned to center.

I got to the dealer very late yesterday evening with the tractor. But they waited for me; after driving the tractor, they, like myself, had no idea where the noise was coming from. I also told them about the loader, and they responded that they would check the specs.
