/ 17 Hours 4075r, It started making an odd sound. I needed to move 2000lb pallets of pellets and could not pick them up.

The John Deere 4075R with a 440R Loader is ratedI was out and stopped by the Kubota today, but when asked about the L6060 lift capacity, they were unsure about lifting the pallets. I think the HST+ would be great on the steep hills here.
Lift to Max Height 500MM in front of Pins - 1,885 lbs
Breakout 500MM in front of pins - 3,037 lbs
From the operators manual

I would strongly consider looking at the 6060 as the HST plus is very nice on hills. Lets you keep the engine rpms up when climbing steep ones.I think the HST+ would be great on the steep hills here.
I would be hesitant to go back to this dealer. Sounds like the service department is not well versed in repairing compact tractors. Also the sales department should have been fighting corporate JD to get you a new tractor since they were unable to repair the old one. Every major brand makes a lemon every now and then so I would not hold this against JD. However I would go find myself a new dealer even if that means a new brand. My opinion the dealer is just as important as the tractor. This dealer has not treated you right by failing to repair the machine, then failing to advocate to corporate for you, then not refunding you fully. That's three darned good reasons when one reason should be enough to walk away.Maybe I don't have your story straight? But I don't think I would deal with the same dealer that cost you $4k for a broken tractor with 17 hrs on it? With a relatively simple problem to diagnose?
Personally, unless you dealer just refunds all your money on the old tractor, I'm not giving them another chance to mess up at my cost again....
I do not know if the Yanmar HST is better on hills than a typical HST. New Holland use to offer CVT transmissions on their large compacts and they are much better on hills but alas NH discontinued them. Kubota offers the L5060 with a GST (powershift) transmission, but the 4 less horsepower might negate the advantages of the powershift. HST transmissions bog down on hills quicker than a direct drive transmission.I'm interested in the YT359c as well; my prior 55hp struggled to pull the mower on them. Would the drive system in that pull better on the hills vs HST? I'm thinking of asking that in the Yanmar forums.
