Just don't ask what is the best oil? and everything will be fine. :D
That`s funny Tig! I host a chainsaw discussion forum and have participated in several others over the years and the infamous "oil" discussion is a winner every time! What a small world we live in?

To me it's no skin off my nose whether they lurk or not. I joined almost immediately after I found this site and am here daily during the work week as it is an unofficial part of my job to be here. It's great. :D I am logged in all the time, or log in automatically when I open the site. Much easier for me that way. For those who don't monitor this site like I do, I can see why they don't log in every time. The world wold be a very boring place if we were all the same. :D

I joined TBN membership about the time I bought my first tractor in May05 (a 21-hp Kubota B7510HST/LA302 FEL). Later a bought a used 45-hp MF-135 diesel in July06. The 135 is my wintertime restoration project.

I'm certainly in the novice class when it comes to tractor knowledge and experience. I've started a dozen or so threads in the last 18 months, mostly to get answers/opinions on tractor issues that I'm facing (e.g. what kind of disc for the 135, types/characteristics of tractor paint, supplier information, etc.).

I generally restrict my comments to threads more or less directly related to things I've experienced myself as a new tractor owner. I try to be of help to newbies like me who ask the typical "what should I buy/what do I need" questions. I tend to stay out of the way of the threads with the heavy hitters (members with thousands of postings) slugging it out because of my lack of experience. I read them and learn a lot.
