1700 mtr., into different frame ?

I have been considering to find a ym2000 4x4 with bad mtr., and doing a change over in motors. Can this be done and what other frames can i do this? Maybe even an older Ford, 16,17,19 series. Thanx in advance

The YM2000 and YM1700 use the same engine block (just different bore diameters) so that swap should be relatively easy. Any other engine would most likely require a lot of custom machine work.

I thought long ago someone posted that they discovered their VN rebuilt YM2210 had a YM2000 block. Anybody else remember that?

YM2210 might be another possibility and would be a sweet upgrade in capability.

But investigate if this will work!

I kind of remember that. But not sure if it was like this mention....someone "remembering" some story they heard or the actual person writing about it?

As I recall the OP ordered parts for his 'rebuilt' 2210 and got a reply from Hoye or somebody "That engine number isn't a YM2210, its from a YM2000!". Or something like that.

Hopefully that original poster will show up and describe this more accurately.
