To follow up on my loosened lower hinge pin problem, my threads were not exactly umdamaged. I found that by removing the nut I could screw the pin in about 3/16" deeper into 3 or 4 new threads and still have room to install the lower link, If the nut were 3/16" thinner. I undercut the nut by 3/16" with a Dremel tool, slathered the whole thing with JB KWIK, put it back together as tight as I could get with a 12" adj. wrtench, tweaked it with a 4' pipe, and worked all day yesterday, boxblading, with no problem. If it loosens, I will order the hinge pin kit. I might add, I thought I had been diligently greasing my tractor, but there was not a drop of grease on those hinge pins.
