1710 column shift Questions

Looking at a 1710 with the column shifter for 1-2-3-r. Is this the synchromesh option? Does this require the clutch to operate the 1-2-3-r portion? Thanks

Yes, clutch when selecting your gears. Nice to be stopped when shifting to be easy on the synchros. Parts for the Shibaura made Fords are gettin' scarcer by the day anymore.

Thanks, that’s what I figured.

The power shift on my yanmar had me holding out hope, spoiled me.

Yeah, the Yanmars with the Powershift transmission were the only ones in that size to have that style transmission. Even the Kubotas with the GST are bigger.
